Historical note
The tunic from Kragelund 1040 - 1155 AD was found in the Kragelund a bog near Viborg, Denmark.

A person from Kragelund was discovered in 1898 AD. The person was wearing a tunic made of coarse woolen fabric with nothing on their feet except for short leather boots with laces at the ankles.

The garment had a front slit, a back slit, and slits on each side for gores. It appears that the front and back slits were not sewn, but since the seams did not survive, it cannot be said for certain. The edges were simply stitched with a seam across the edge.
The neckline is unusual, pointed at the front and back. The length of the front slit is 7 cm. The sleeves are also interesting in their construction.
